PAKISTAN WRITERS GUILD SINDH
Aims and Objectives
- To foster conditions and environments that guarantee the free expression and communication of ideas.
- To safeguard the collective interests of writers as a professional class, enabling them to contribute to Pakistani literature freely and without fear or intimidation.
- To provide Guild members with the necessary support and facilities for the publication of their literary works.
- To arrange for the international printing and publication of Pakistani literary works in order to introduce Pakistani literature across the world.
- To organize literary delegations composed of Guild members for visits to foreign countries.
- To recommend and implement amendments to the Copyright Act or related legal provisions so that authors receive full legal protection for the financial benefits arising from their literary efforts, and to ensure their complete freedom of expression.
a. To establish affiliations with other similar international organizations, provided that such organizations are not founded on political principles and that the affiliation does not conflict with the national interests of Pakistan.
b. To collaborate with other literary and cultural institutions within the country and, when necessary, to extend financial assistance or support to them.
- To provide financial aid, from the Guild’s resources or through other means, to writers in need or to their families.
